Apply for the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship at ASHESI University in Ghana. The Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship is sponsored in partnership between the Jim Ovia Foundation and the Africa-America Institute. This scholarship aims to educate young Africans and equip them with the required potential to lead the continent. Ashesi University together with its partners, is proud to offer the Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship to eligible African students.

This comprehensive scholarships is offered to selected high achieving and academically excellent students, who come from under resourced backgrounds. The scholarship will grant them a full education that will equip them with the necessary skills for a dynamic and innovation-driven career.

This scholarship is made possible through the generous philanthropy of the Jim Ovia Foundation. The scholarship is particularly dedicated to applicants applying for a Bachelor’s degree programme Ashesi University in Ghana.

If selected for this Scholarship, you will be provided with the following benefits

• The Jim Ovia Foundation Leaders Scholarship will provide you with tuition coverage for your selected degree course
• You will receive a room and board for your accommodation for your entire duration of study. undergraduate study at Ashesi.
• Scholars will also receive career counseling and support during their study experience and also after graduation.
• Up on completion of your course, you will AAI Alumni network. The AAI Alumni include prominent leaders in many sectors around Africa and the Globe and includes two sitting Presidents.

Eligibility

To be selected for the scholarship, you must meet the following application conditions

• Applicants for the scholarship must be citizens and residents of an African country
• You must demonstrate strong academic record and excellent academic performance
• Applicants are usually students who exhibit a Financial Need
• Candidates must be applying for a bachelor’s degree programme at Ashesi university
• You must be a promising leader with an active record of youth leadership within your community

Applicants must apply for admission for an undergraduate degree programme at Ashesi if they are to be considered for the scholarship. The selection process for the scholarship begins by determining whether a student qualifies to be admitted into Ashesi, this, based on the applicant’s overall profile.

Up on determination, students who qualify to enter Ashesi, and applied for scholarships, are then evaluated on the basis of their financial need. To complete your application and be considered for the scholarship, follow the procedure below.

1. Complete and submit your application for admission online, along with the scholarship application, or manually by downloading a PDF application form , complete it and send it back via mail.
2. The application form is divided into two (2) sections, namely, the application for admission and the scholarship application form
3. The completed application forms must be submitted by mail, post or in person before the deadline of application
