Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme for foreign Students in Hungary

The Hungarian Government Scholarship Programme aimed for international students for 2020/2021 is now open for applications for Universities in  Hungary. Foreign students from eligible countries are able to apply for any of the eligible courses below via the Hungarian Government Scholarship program:

1. MSc in Food Safety and Quality Engineering (Szent István University)
2. MSc in Horticultural Engineering (Szent István University)
3. MSc in Animal nutrition and feed safety (Kaposvár University)

For any of the above courses, you will be able to conduct your studies at any of the universities specified here:

1. Szent István University, Faculty of Food Science
2. Kaposvár University, Faculty of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
3. Szent István University, Faculty of Horticultural Science

Scholarship Benefits

Selected Applicants will receive the following benefits:

The scholarship is financed by the Hungarian Government, according to the Agreement between FAO and Hungary.

• You will receive application and tuition fees throughout the study period including support items such as basic books and stationary 
• The cost of dormitory accommodation will be covered
• A stipend to cover your basic expenses
• Cost for health insurance will also be covered.

All of the above mentioned costs are financed by the Hungarian Government, according to the Agreement between FAO and Hungary in 2007.

Scholarship Eligibility

If you fulfill the following conditions, then you are eligible for the scholarship:

• You are a citizen of: Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Angola, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Chad, Egypt, Ethiopia, Gambia, Georgia, Ghana, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kosovo*, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon,  Madagascar, Mali, Myanmar, Moldova, Mongolia, Montenegro, Namibia, Nigeria, North Korea, North Macedonia, Palestine, the Philippines, Republic of Cabo Verde, Serbia, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uganda, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, Yemen.
• Fulfill the requirements for admission for your chosen masters program in Hungary

Application

Please follow the application procedure below:

1. You must submit all your documents documents English or with an English translation.
2. Along with the application, you will attach the following documents 

Required documents

• A fully filled Application form 
• You up to date curriculum vitae
• A copy of high school/college diploma and transcript/report of study or copy of the diploma attachment
• proof of your English proficiency
• A reference/ recommendation letter from one of your referees
• Motivation letter
• Health Certificate issued by Medical Doctor
• Certificate of Good Conduct issued by local police authority.
• Copies of relevant pages of passport showing expiration date and passport number
