Akebono Foundation Japanese Cultural Scholarship in Japan

Apply for the Akebono Japanese Cultural scholarship. The scholarship particularly aims to support applicants from Central and Eastern Europe supports those who wish to study in Japan. Akebono Japanese cultural scholarship was founded with the major aim of attracting talented individuals to Japan, who are curious and eager to learn different subjects in Japan.

Eligible applicants are offered scholarships enabling them to travel to Japan for the program but would otherwise be unable to do so due to financial reasons. You will travel to Japan and engage in several activities and support their life in Japan. After concluding their experiences in Japan, participants will become an important bridge with Japan in the future, and thereby help build international human networks with other scholarship recipients through the medium of Japan.

Traveling to Japan provides you with a rear opportunity to learn about Japanese culture, business, language and ways of life. The programme will provide you with the necessary support and a unique study plan to make your experience memorable.

Accepted applicants will be eligible for the following benefits

• This scholarship will grant assured support and invite you to Japan for the 2022 session.
• Selected participants will be given the privilege to study in Japan with financial support through The Akebono Scholarship
• The scholarship will cover both your educational and travel expenses for the programme
• You will also receive support for relocation and adapting to your daily life in Japan.
• Participants will receive support in securing housing and other required assistance during your stay.

Eligibility

Candidates for the PhD position must meet the following conditions

• The programme is looking for people who want to study in Japan for during the year 2022.
• Applicants must be particularly from Eastern and central Europe. (Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina, Croatia)
• Candidates must be ready to spend a significant amount of time in Japan participating in different programme activities
• Programme activities include Learning the Japanese language, Studying business, architecture and so much more.

• Scholarship applications must be submitted online using the programme online application portal
• You will be required to provide your basic information and as well choose the programme activity you would like to participate in.
• The secretariat will make a selection based on the candidate’s chosen subject and his or her motivation to learn in Japan. Those who pass the selection process will be awarded The Akebono Scholarship and invited to Japan.
